Statement of Faith

We believe the Scripture both Old and New Testament (Bible) are the inspired Word of God. The only infallible authoritative rule of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14).

We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ at his return (1 Thessalonians 5:1-10). We believe in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Romans 8:22-23; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52).

We believe in sanctification from that which is evil and of dedication to God (Romans 12:1-2; Hebrews 1:12; 1 Thessalonians 5:23). Sanctification is realized in the believer by recognizing his identification with Christ in His death, resurrection, and by offering ever faculty continually to the dominion of the Holy Spirit (Romans 6:1; Romans 8:13; Galatians 2:20).

We believe that man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Salvation is received through repentance of sin and faith in God and the Lord Jesus Christ. Being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God according to the hope of Eternal Life (John 3:3; Romans 10:9-11; Romans 10:13-15; Ephesians 2:8). We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing in prayer (Isaiah 53:4-5; James 5:14-15). We believe that healing is an integral part of the Gospel.

We believe that all Christians are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. This gift is from God. It endows the believer with power for life and service, and bestows the gifts and their usage in the work of the ministry (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; I Corinthians 1:31). The Baptism of believers in the Holy Ghost is witnessed by the initial physical sign of the speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives them utterance (Acts 2:4).

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world. The Scriptures teach a life of holiness without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

We believe that there will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 19:20).

We, according to God’s promise, look for a new heaven and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness (2 Peter 3:13; John 14:1-3).
